The Houston County Fair Association has approved to host Pee Wee Showmanship classes for children between the ages of 5 and 8 years old (not in the 3rd Grade) in the categories of haltered steers and heifers, lambs and goats, and breeding and market swine.
The Pee Wee showmanship classes will be held following the completion of each of the selected species regular showmanship class.
There is no entry fee for Pee Wee exhibitors but they must be a resident of Houston County and enrolled in a public or home school program in Houston County. The family of the pee wee exhibitor is responsible for obtaining an animal to show for the Pee Wee Showmanship classes.
The animal used must be an animal that has already been entered, validated and shown by a current 4-H or FFA exhibitor in the 2021 Houston County Fair.
An adult is required to accompany the pee wee exhibitor into the ring during the Pee Wee Showmanship show.
